Vacation Rental Winter Weekend Promotion

The Challenge: 

Our client, CooperstownLuxury.com, came to us with the hope of coming up with new ways introduce their luxury vacation rental properties to a new audience who might consider Cooperstown as a winter getaway option. While Cooperstown is known world-wide as a summer destination with its endless activities in the warm weather months, there is a misconception that Cooperstown does not have a lot going on in the winter. We set about changing that through a variety of methods including the development of a Cooperstown Winter Weekend Getaway Contest. 

The Creative Process: 

For this promotion, we partnered with Fly Creek Cider Mill and Orchard, Mel's at 22 and Cooperstown Area Massage Therapy to put together a fantastic winter weekend prize package which we hosted on Facebook. We designed all the elements, produced all the rules and regulations and created a simple paid media plan to support the contest. 

The Results: 

  • Over 24,000 entries into the contest. 
  • Over 1,000 individual shares of the contest. This number does not include the number of times people shared through the standard Facebook share button but shares through the promotional hosting tool. 
  • Over 3,000 individuals entering the contest. 
  • Over 2,500 new subscribers to the company email list. 
  • Over 1,100 new followers on Facebook.
